<recommendation type="For Fans" uid="36359">For fans of action anime, the kind where superheroes battle ugly monsters, with loads of gore and visual effects (unless they changed their recipe after ep 3, I dropped the series there).

Apart from visual, it`s quite bottom-tier. The story is laughably inconsistent, the characters are cliché (and the child an annoying pest, and so repetitive). One probably needs to switch off the brain to enjoy the series.

Another notable point is that a large part of what I`d seen what filmed like a modern advertisement: always moving hard (either the camera or the content), filling several camera shots in a single second, loud music. As I dislike this style, the first episode was a ordeal: a lot of subjective views (running, jumping, stumbling), ugly zooms, fast pace then slow motion, loud music, and a story that starts after 50 minutes of absurd fighting.</recommendation>
<recommendation type="For Fans" uid="73747">On paper this had the making to be a must watch anime with humanity fighting against extinction and criminals with special abilities known as "heroes" that provided their assistance to help humanity survive despite being hated by society. Right off the bat, this looks good... the visuals and animation are on point, plus this is violent. However, the story is weak, but more importantly the two MCs were not compelling and uninteresting, which for me affected the enjoyment of this season. Check out a few episodes to see if this is for you.</recommendation>
<recommendation type="For Fans" uid="502713">A highly polished turd aimed at angsty teenagers, which I am thankfully not. Visually 7/10, story 3/10. Almost dropped it, but I stuck it out hoping it would get better, but I really should know better by now than to expect that.
Recommended for a younger audience, but not too young, maybe 15-25.</recommendation>
<recommendation type="For Fans" uid="498162">Hmm… I don’t quite agree with the high praise and ratings this series gets, though I do see some potential in the story. It feels like it’s been stretched out for too long, and things only start to get interesting near the end of the final episode. The art style is decent, but nothing remarkable. I’ll still give Season 2 a try to see where the story goes.</recommendation>
<recommendation type="Recommended" uid="194756">Impressive animation throughout, an interesting overarching plot (though admittedly not progressed quickly enough) and unique cast make this a great watch.</recommendation>
<recommendation type="Recommended" uid="816582">Okay now this is controversial. This would get second season it seems so we`ll see.
The plot is decent even if the very idea is kind of beaten path through and through.
The art style just fits nicely.
But the scenes execution, especially action scenes, is mere trash.
And the monster zoo is generic and lowkey to the point of being terribly boring.
The gore is artificial. There are meaningless explosions. Everything dynamic is just that bad.
I hope this improves next season.</recommendation>

Heroism—a punishment for only the worst criminals. Those sentenced to the fate of a hero are forced to fight at the front lines against the demon king`s army—and if they die, all they can expect is to be revived and continue the battle. <name>sword</name>
<description>A sword is a long, edged piece of metal, used as a cutting, thrusting, and clubbing weapon in many civilizations throughout the world. Before firearms became commonplace, and fast enough to render other weapons pointless in the battlefield, they were the main kind of weapon for war and duels alike. A sword fundamentally consists of a blade and a hilt, typically with one or two edges for striking and cutting, and a point for thrusting. That aside, however, they may come in all sorts of designs: the medieval European swords used to be big, heavy weapons that did not actually cut but instead broke the enemy`s bones under their armor; conversely, the Chinese jian sword (called "ken" in Japanese) attempted to exploit the armor`s joints and perforate the enemy`s flesh in those places, but was useless against the armor itself, and did not take the strikes, preferring to redirect them, to this day being considered a highly "circular" weapon and associated to taijiquan; on the other hand, the Japanese katana was a balanced all-purposes weapon that could be used even in an axe-like way, but which a master swordsman could use in many other, more elaborate manners.</description>

<description>Fantasy is a genre of fiction that uses magic and other supernatural phenomena as a primary element of plot, theme, or setting. Many works within the genre take place in fictional worlds where magic is common. Fantasy is generally distinguished from science fiction and horror by the expectation that it steers clear of (pseudo-)scientific and macabre themes, respectively, though there is a great deal of overlap between the three (which are subgenres of speculative fiction).
In popular culture, the genre of fantasy is dominated by its medievalist form, especially since the worldwide success of The Lord of the Rings books by J. R. R. Tolkien. In its broadest sense however, fantasy comprises works by many writers, artists, filmmakers, and musicians, from ancient myths and legends to many recent works embraced by a wide audience today.
Fantasy is a vibrant area of academic study in a number of disciplines (English, cultural studies, comparative literature, history, medieval studies). Work in this area ranges widely, from the structuralist theory of Tzvetan Todorov, which emphasizes the fantastic as a liminal space, to work on the connections (political, historical, literary) between medievalism and popular culture

<description>War is a phenomenon of organized violent conflict, typified by extreme aggression, societal disruption and adaptation, and high mortality. The objective of warfare differs in accord with a group`s role in a conflict: The goals of offensive warfare are typically the submission, assimilation or destruction of another group, while the goals of defensive warfare are simply the repulsion of the offensive force and, often, survival itself. Relative to each other, combatants in warfare are called enemies. The terms military, militant, and militarism each refer to fundamental aspects of war, i.e. the organized group, the combative individual, and the supportive ethos (respectively).
